Project Description:
Project consisted of curb and sidewalk construction, multi-use path installations, drainage and roadway lighting improvements, and the full depth roadway construction and major re-alignment of the existing baseline of Route 116 from South Hadley to Amherst. A very unique feature of this project is the back-to-back roundabouts which replaced an existing heavily traveled four way intersection. The traffic management plans were of particular concern during the development of the work staging plans and baseline schedule
