Project Description:
Project consisted of the complete demolition of five bridge structures on US Rt.20 in the Towns of Becket/Chester, and full replacement with precast substructures, structural steel superstructures, and precast rigid frame superstructures utilizing a two-stage construction sequence in order to maintain active traffic flows. The aggressive contract duration required the contractor’s utilization of multiple shifts in order to accomplish the construction goal.
